| dc.description.abstract | This thesis is for learning deeply about how far the state gives protection towards right of religious freedom. It will explain about the regulation or provision given by government. Besides, it will learn about legal protection which is provided by government provision to the people as citizen and compare with International Human Rights Law perspective. Statement problem is: How is the legal protection given by Indonesia towards the rights of religious freedom?; Is the protection of the state are appropriate with the international human rights perspective?. This thesis use the method of literatures studies and then analyze the legal materials to achieve the conclusion. The result of this analysis, there are some provision in Indonesia that give the rights of citizen concerning freedom of religion, but still not appropriate with international instruments of International Human Rights. Lack of enforcement from government also becomes the cause of discrimination and violation behalf on religion. This thesis are recommend to the state to ammend the existing regulation such as The Law No. 1 PNPS year 1965 regarding the discrimination of religion because it is violates the right of people to exercise their religious duties. International regulation that regulate it should be fully enforced under the national law as consequences to protect the right of the people. However, the important things are the intentions, attentions, and effort from government to enforce the rights of citizen concerning freedom of religion and give the protection for them.
