    Abstract
BACKGROUND. Stroke risk factors were divided into two, namely: risk factors can not be changed, and modifiable risk factors. The combination of these risk factors will provide the changes in structure and function of the brain blood vessels. At the critical point will appear circulatory disorders of the brain. Circulatory disorders of the brain would disrupt the function of nerve cells, and stroke symptoms appear. Purpose. To find out the correlation of risk factors with the type of the pathophysiology of stroke in patients with hemorrhagic and non hemorrhagic stroke admitted to the Sleman General Hospital Yogyakarta period January 1 - December 31, 2011. Research Methods. This study is a descriptive study of non analytic extract data records of patients through medical records. Results: The number of samples studied was 85 patients. 18 patients (21.18%) were hemorrhagic, and 67 patients (78.82%) were non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. 10 patients (55.56%) male on hemorrhagic stroke, whereas for non-hemorrhagic stroke patients teradapat 44 patients (65.67%) male. Age range 45-65 years ever hemorrhagic stroke in 11 patients (61.11%), non-hemorrhagic in 34 patients (50.75%). 15 patients (83.33%) hemorrhagic stroke who suffer from hypertension and 51 patients (76.12%) non-hemorrhagic stroke. 13 patients (72.22%) of 15 hemorrhagic stroke patients with hypertension grade 2. Hyperglycemia hemorrhagic stroke patients 14 patients (20.90%) non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. 18 hemorrhagic stroke patients there was 1 patient (5.56%) who suffered from heart disease, non-hemorrhagic there are 7 patients (10.45%). There were 10 patients (55.56%) of 18 hemorrhagic stroke patients dyslipidemia and 26 patients (38.81%) non-hemorrhagic. Average - average length of treatment of hemorrhagic stroke is 1 to 3 days (55.56%), nonhemorrhagic stroke is 4 - 7 days (47.76%). A total of 33.33% of hemorrhagic death, nonhemorrhagic improved 85.07%. Conclusion: Risk factors for stroke that have an influence on the type of the pathophysiology of non-hemorrhagic stroke were age, gender, hyperglycemia, dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular disease. Stroke risk factors that have influence on the type of the pathophysiology of hemorrhagic stroke were age, sex, and hypertension. Keywords: stroke, ischemic, hemorrhagic, risk Factors
