Keseimbangan Kehidupan-Kerja Dan Keterikatan Kerja Pada Karyawan Perusahaan Startup
Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between work-life balance with work
engagement in startup company employees. The hypothesis in this study is that
there is a positive relationship between work-life balance and work engagement in
startup company employees. This study uses two scales, the work-life balance scale
adapted from Fisher, Bulger, and Smith (2009) (17 items), and the Utrecht Work
Engagement Scale (UWES) to measure work engagement adapted from Schaufeli
and Bakker (2004) (17 items). Both of these scales are reliable with a score of
Cronbach's alpha (α) = 0.912 and = 0.961. The data analysis technique used is
Product Moment with SPSS version 25.0. The subjects of this study were 103
startup employees, male and female, aged 18-40 years, with a minimum working
period of 1 year. The results of the data show the correlation coefficient r = 0.406
with a significance of p = 0.000. This means that the higher the work-life balance,
the higher the work engagement of startup company employees will be. Work-life
balance has a 40.6% effect on work engagement.
