Hubungan Self Efficacy Dengan Competitive Anxiety Pada Atlet Renang Di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta
Abstract
This study aim to determine the relationship between self efficacy and
competitive anxiety on swimmer athletes in Special Region of Yogyakarta. The
subjects in this study were 53 atheles of 13 to 30 years old. The self efficacy scale
used in the study referred to General Self Efficacy scale developed by Schwarzer
and Jerusalem (1995). While the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 by
Martens, Burton, Vealy, Bump, and Smith (1990) was used as the competitive
anxiety scale. Two hypothesis proposed in this study, (a) there is a negative
relationship between self efficacy and cognitive state anxiety dimension on
swimmer athletes, and (b) there is also a negative relationship between self
efficacy and somatic state anxiety on swimmer athletes. Statistic Description,
klomogrov-smirnov test, and Spearman correlation analysis were used to data
calculation. Data analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 for windows. The results of this
study showed a negative and non-significant relationship between the two
variables.
