    Abstract
This study aim to determine the relationship between self efficacy and competitive anxiety on swimmer athletes in Special Region of Yogyakarta. The subjects in this study were 53 atheles of 13 to 30 years old. The self efficacy scale used in the study referred to General Self Efficacy scale developed by Schwarzer and Jerusalem (1995). While the Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2 by Martens, Burton, Vealy, Bump, and Smith (1990) was used as the competitive anxiety scale. Two hypothesis proposed in this study, (a) there is a negative relationship between self efficacy and cognitive state anxiety dimension on swimmer athletes, and (b) there is also a negative relationship between self efficacy and somatic state anxiety on swimmer athletes. Statistic Description, klomogrov-smirnov test, and Spearman correlation analysis were used to data calculation. Data analyzed by using SPSS 21.0 for windows. The results of this study showed a negative and non-significant relationship between the two variables.
