Kualitas Kehidupan Kerja Pada Masinis Kereta Api
Abstract
This study is intended to explore the quality of work-life of train machinists. The respondents are three male machinists age 20-35 years old, in the operation area of Yogyakarta who have been working for more than 2 years. The data were collected through observation and interview. The results show that the machinists perception of their quality of work-life remain favorable resulting from adequate and fair compensation, development of human capabilities, growth and security, social integration, constitutionalism, the total life space, social relevance, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and personal quality (self-motivation and gratefulness). However, conditions of work as experienced by machinist does not fall into good quality, as safety, heavy workload, and risk from duties are still found.
