Pra Rancangan Pabrik Benang Polyester Jenis Poy dengan Nomor Benang 235D/48F dari Bahan Baku Chips dengan Kapasitas Produksi 10.300.000 Kg/Tahun

Abstract

Preliminary plant design of polyester Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) yarn with yarn number 235D/48F used chips as raw material is targeted to domestic demand and an export quota. Target capacity is 10,300 tons per annum. This plant will be built at Karawang, on the area of land 16,000m². This plant will be operated for 24 hours/day and 330 days/year with 140 employees. The process will be started with preparation of raw material that is reduce the moisture from chips in the crystallizer and heated in the dryer. Chips are melted in the extruder. Formed of filament from spinneret. Filaments are united become yarn and withdrawal the yarn. The last process is furled the yarn in the cone form. The utility consist of 1.545.000 litres/month for cooling water, 1.425.000 litres/month for processing water. The power of electricity of about 1.313.154,19 kW provide by generators and PLN. An economic analysis showed that this Partially Oriented Yam plant need to be covered by fixed capital ofabout Rp 42.549.335.000,00, working capital of about Rpl04.826.000.000,00. Percentage of return of investment (ROI) before tax is 26.97% while after tax is 24.27%. Pay out time (POT) before tax is 2 years 7 months 28 days, while after tax is 2 years 9 months 16 days. The value of break even point (BEP) for about 44.65%, shut down point (SDP) of about 24.04%. Based on the above factors can be concluded that preliminary plant design of polyester yam with production capacity 10,300 tons/year feasible to be built.
