dc.description.abstractThis research aims to investigate the teacher challenges of teaching English for hearing impairment. The objective of this research was to describe the challenges in teaching English hearing impairment. This study uses a case study qualitative method and thematic analysis to analyze the data findings. The interview used Bond (2000)’s concept of effective teaching. This research was conducted in a special needs school in Tangerang. The participants of this research are one teacher who teaches English in a special needs school. The finding of this research is, there were challenges in teaching English, such as: internet access, students' condition, less discipline of the students, using technology tools, explained the material and portion in teaching, teacher visit students home, the implementation of the teacher uses communicative strategy and make students pronounce the word.en_US
