dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to find out the teacher’s perspective in the techniques of teaching speaking for young EFL Learners with the context intenational primary school. The research design was qualitative research and used descriptive qualitative as the method of the research. The interview questions were used as the instrument of eliciting the data. The subject of this study was a female English teacher in an international primary school in Cilacap taught at grade 1. In data Analysis, the researcher used thematic analysis from Braun & Clarke (2006, p. 6) and the analysis model from Miles & Huberman (1994). The results showed that the use of various teaching techniques in speaking can help the teacher to gain student’s motivation and create student’s new learning experience. Then, in teaching techniques there were 12 techniques of teaching speaking to Young EFL Learners used by the teacher there were; ice breaking, grouping by shuffling techniques, course review horay, drilling activities: the police of english and getting good stars as a reward, guessing games, watching educational videos (native video, song, etc), using song to motivate students in learning, repetition drill technique, body gestures, roleplay, think pair share techniques, and the last is the use of teacher-centered.en_US
