    Abstract
    An information system is valuable to a business in various ways, such as by improving the value of information used in managerial decision making. Information is communicated to users, such as managers, on the technical, semantic, and effectiveness levels. This research was performed on the XYZ Company; it is a new distributor company (a representative Start-up Company). The purpose of this research is to examine the existing accounting system in a start-up company and to make recommendation for its development. Based on analysis of data conducted, this research can help to make the company's activity more efficient and effective by applying the right accounting system.
