    Abstract
    Preliminary plant design of a 100% cotton spinning mill with capacity 50.000 spindels is planned to be built in Ranca Ekek, the province of Jawa Barat on the area 23.250 m². The factory will be operated for 24 hours a day or 360 days/year with total employess 239 persons. Target production of the factory for about 5.100.677,4 kg kg/years and raw materials (cotton fibre) needed 5.928.466,15 kg kg/years. Product of the yarns is planned to have yarn number Nei 40. The need of machines include 2 line Blowing machine, 17 unit carding machines, 6 unit drawing I machines, 6 unit drawing II machines, 6 unit flayer machines, 74 unit Ring Spinning machines and 15 unit winding machines. The factory will be convered by a capital investment of Rp.74.981.436.410,00 and the working capital Rp. 103.049.887600,00 per years. From an economic analysis showed that the value of break event point of the factory is 42.3 %, Return On ivestment 32.82% before tax and 31.2% after tax. The capital investment will return in 3 years, 2S months. Based on the factors such as the easy of supply of the raw materials (cotton), and increased the of the yarn by the weaving factor}' and consideration of an economic analysis, then, plan design of the spinning mill visible to be built.
