Meningkatkan Ketenangan Hati Pasien CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) yang Menjalani Terapi Hemodialisa dengan Spiritual Hypnotherapy
Abstract
Patients with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease) undergoing the hemodialysis therapy not
only experience the physical weaknesses but also suffer from the psychological disorder in
the form of stress and depression. This is in relation to the hemodialysis therapy given twice
to three times in a week. This then raises the psychological impact that later on makes the
mind not peaceful. This research aims to improve the peace of mind among the patients
with CKD undergoing the hemodialysis therapy using the spiritual hypnotherapy.
Hypothesis in this research was that spiritual hypnotherapy can improve the peace of mind
among the patients with CKD undergoing the hemodialysis therapy. The research design
used was nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group design. The peace of mind of the
patients with CKD was measured using the scale of Tatmainn al-Quluub. There were 8
patients with CKD undergoing the hemodialysis therapy involved as the research subjects.
They were divided into two: experiment group and control group. The method of data
analysis used was Anova Mixed Design (mixed) in which it combined two sub-analyses:
Within Subject Test dan Between Subject Test. The results of this research showed a very
significant difference between the score obtained by the experimental group compared to
the control group with the value of p= 0,001 (p<0,05) with the effect of training by 0,593
or 59,3%, the value of the observed power (confidence level) 98 or 98%. This showed that
there was a significant difference of peace of mind among the time of measurement.
Meanwhile, the Tests of Within-Subjects Effects of Therapy*Group with the value of
Greenhouse-Geisser F=8,729 (p<0,05) showing that the change in the pre-test score to the
follow up 2 in both two groups was significantly different in which the control group
showed no score increase and experimental group showed the score increase. The results
of the measurement showed that spiritual hypnotherapy is proven to be capable of
improving the peace of mind among the patients with CKD undergoing hemodialysis
therapy.
