dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to describe online reading strategies used by senior high school students in an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) high school in a rural area. This study is a quantitative research using questionnaire of the Online Survey of Reading Strategies (Anderson, 2003). The instrument contains three domains: Global Reading Strategies, Problem Solving Strategies, and Support Strategies. There are 32 items with 1-5 Likert scales. The number of participants is 79 students. The findings shows that : Global Reading Strategies (Mean: 3.251217 SD: 0.998007), Problem Solving Strategies (Mean: 3,338851 SD: 0.998007), and Support Strategies (Mean:2,763713 SD: 1.109762) Problem Solving strategies become the most frequently used strategies (Mean: 3,338851 SD: 0.998007) while support strategies become the least frequently used strategies (Mean:2,763713 SD: 1.109762).en_US
