POTENSI PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK ETANOL JAMUR KANCING (Agaricus bisporus) TERHADAP KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH TIKUS GALUR WISTAR (Rattus norvegicus) MODEL DM YANG DIBERI ALOKSAN
Abstract
Background : Uncontrolled increase in blood glucose levels can contribute to
metabolic disorders. Blood glucose is considered abnormal if the level is less or
exceeds the reference value. The glucose reference value is in the range 60-110 mg /
dl. Too high blood glucose levels are called hyperglycemia. Taking (Agaricus
bisporus) white button mushroom extract which contains lots of vitamin D, nutrients
and fiber can reduce blood glucose levels.
Objective : To find out whether there is an effect of vitamin D contained in the white
button mushroom of (Agaricus bisporus) on decreasing blood glucose levels in DM
model mice induced by alloxan.
Method : This study is a quasi-experimental study using pre and post controlled group
design research designs. Before conducting the research, the experimental animals will
be checked first (pre test), then after treatment, (P1, P2 and P3) will be checked again
(post test) to find out the effect of (Agaricus bisporus) ethanol extract during the time
determined. The data obtained were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test.
Results : On giving for 1 week button mushroom ethanol extract dose of 300 mg / kg
/ BB gives a decrease of 17.2%, a dose of 400 mg / kg / BB can reduce 54% and 500
mg / kg / BB can reduce 32.6%.
Conclusion : There is the effect of (Agaricus bisporus) extract on the reduction of
glucose levels in male wistar rats induced by alloxan. The best effect is found in the
extract at a dose of 400 mg / kg / BB.
