EVALUSI KINERJA SIMPANG BERSINYAL JALAN MAGELANG KM 5 DENGAN METODE MKJI 1997
Abstract
Magelang street KM 5 intersection is one of the intersection which connecting to many transportation destinations. This research is aims to analyze the performance of intersection based on degree of saturation (DS) and delay. Furthermore, aims of this research is to determine the right alternative to solve the problems contained in the intersection, and know the performance of intersections in the next 5 years. The field observation was conducted 2 times on Monday and Sunday for 12 hours from 06.00-18.00 pm using the camera for traffic recording. According the field observation, time of peak hour on Monday are at 4:00 pm to 05:00 pm and on Sunday are at 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. When all data have been obtained it will be analyzed according to MKJI 1997. The results of performance analysis on the existing condition show the result is less good. The highest DS was in the West arm which is 0,92 with the capacity of 413 smp/hour, the queue length reaches 143,98 m, and the delay is 77,2 sec/smp. To improve the performance of intersection, 2 alternatives were made: rearrangement of traffic cycle cycles, and 3 phase changes into 4 phases. After the analysis, the maximum problem solving alternative is Alternative I which is the value of delay is decrease to 32% and the value of DS is decrease to 75%. From the results obtained for the next 5 years, for 2019 and 2020 the value of DS on the north, south and west approach has exceeded the requirements but in the 2021-2022 the value of DS on the every approach has exceeded the requirements which is DS>0,75. The intersection delay at 2018-2020 almost on every intersection arms are at the D category but at the 2021-2022 almost on every intersection arms are at the E category.
