Abstract
This study attempted to search the correlation between perception on implementation of performance appraisal and administrative staff's achievement motivation at Faculty X University Y. The data were collected by two scales consisting of The Achievement Motivation Scale developed from Mc Clelland theory (Munandar, 2001) as well as a critique theory described by Ancok and Nashori (2005), and The Perception on Implementation of Performance Appraisal Scale (Hashim, 2009; Siagian, 2006; Islam and Rasad, 2005; Rahman and Buraey, 1992). The collected data were analyzed by product moment analysis SPSS 12.0 for Windows. The result of this study indicated that perception on implementation of performance appraisal was significantly related to achievement motivation with value 0,487, p = 0,000 (p<0,01), so the result from the research was highly consistent with the hypothesis.
