Makna Hidup pada Pasangan Suami Isteri yang Belum Dianugerahi Anak

Abstract

This research aimed to find meaning of life in childless couples. Subjects in this research is childless couples with five year minimum age of marriage, involuntary childless, not adopt child, coming from Java tribe, and believe in Islam. Subjects in this research amount to four people and two research informan, who representing near by people and know better subjects research. This research use approach qualitative with case study method. The sampling technique of this research was purposive sampling and used snow ball sampling. Data collection method used in depth interview and the observation. Data analyzed this research by content analysis. The result of this research shows that child attendance separate important meaning for childless couples so that give psychological impact. Psychological impact which are positive can be felt because influence from social support. Psychological impact negative from childless, among couples get pressure from society which often question child attendance. All effort influenced by factor religiosity is feel grateful, can take hikmah from problems, hope and also confidence of Allah. Subjects own source meaning of life dominant at experiental values. Successful in meaning love to couple also make subjects can involve life so that subjects feel happy and feel to have a meaning.
