Pengaruh Media Facebook/Twitter terhadap Penyimpangan Perilaku pada Siswa MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Mungkid Kabupaten Magelang

Abstract

Using facebook/twitter is part of routines in our daily activity now. There are many students using facebook/twitter who are then negligent to perform their obligations. They even make this activity as a hobby and spend every second of their time doing it. Having observed the rapid development of facebook/twitter as one of the most favorite social media of teenagers and its negative effects, the researcher is driven to conduct a study on the influence of facebook/twitter on the behavior deviation of students. The objective of this research is to find the influence of facebook/twitter on the behavior deviation of the students of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Mungkid of Magelang. This study belongs to quantitative study with the population of all students of MTs Muhammadiyah Mungkid. The sample was 62 students taken using proportional random sampling technique. The methods of data collection used were questionnaire and documentation. The data were analyzed using linear regression statistic test technique. The result of the research shows the significant influence of the use of facebook/twitter on the behavior deviation of the students of MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Mungkid. This is based on the double linear regression analysis obtained from the regression co-efficient value of 1.098 with significant value 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, if the use of facebook/twitter increases, so does the behavior deviation of the students.
