Efektivitas Terapi Kelompok Suportif untuk Menurunkan Kecemasan pada Remaja yang Mengalami Kehamilan di Luar Nikah

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of support group therapy to reduce anxiety in teenager who had premarital pregnancy. Hypothesis in this study was support group therapy effective to reduce anxiety in teenagers who had premarital pregnancy. Subjects in this study were four teenagers who become pregnant at age between 15-21 years and pregnancy period between five to six months. This study used TMAS anxiety scale (Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale). This study used a single experimental group and quasi experimental type. This study used one group pretest and posttest design (Myers & Hansen, 2002). Analysis data from this study consisted of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis. Quantitative data analysis in this study used non-parametric statistical tests such as Wilcoxon data analysis technique to discern anxiety before and after therapy. Qualitative analysis was conducted based on observations and interviews. The results show that there are differences score anxiety between before and after therapy, with a value of p = 0.033 (p <0.05) during the pretest-posttest and pretest-follow up. The conclusion from this study was support group therapy can effectively reduce anxiety in teenager who had premarital pregnancy.
