| dc.description.abstract | Background: The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia through basic health research in 2013, found that ear morbidity in Central Java are 21.1% cerumen, 2.3% secretion in the ear canal, and 0.2% retroauricular abscess. In Central Java, the prevalence of hearing loss for the ≥5 years old population based on the conversion test was 3.1%. While the prevalence of hearing loss in Yogyakarta and East java is 2.6% and 2,8%, which there is a higher prevalence in Central Java.
Objective: To know the description of the 10 (ten) most ear disease at poly ENT RSUD dr. Soedirman Kebumen in 2013-2015.
Method: This research is a cross-sectional research design that is descriptive survey and involves 9307 subject of research which is patient of ear disease in ENT RSUD dr. Soedirman Kebumen which is hospital with type B. Variables in this study include diagnosis of ear diseases, age, sex, and payment systems (guarantors). Data analysis was performed using univariate statistic test in the form of frequency distribution.
Results and Conclusions: The ten most ear diseases in 2013-2015 were serumen impaction (43.58%), chronic mucoid otitis media (23.81%), non-specific otitis media (13.32%), Eustachian tube obstruction (5.6%) , non-specific otitis externa (3.9%), tinnitus (2.9%), nonspecific hearing loss (1.98%), other infective otitis externa (1.07%), unspecific sensorineural hearing loss (0.97% ), and external ear abscess (0.80%). Patients of ear disease in 2013-2015 is dominated by the age group 0-11 years (24.56%) and is dominated by women (52.46%). The payment system or guarantor used by ear patients RSUD dr. Soedirman Kebumen is dominated by general or self-financed (53.05%). | en_US |
