Self Compassion dan Kecerdasan Emosional Pada Siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Muttaqien Pancasila Sakti Klaten

Abstract

The objective of research is to find the corelation between self compassion and emotional intelligence on students of madrasah tsanawiyah. The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between self-compassion and emotional intelligence to middle school students. hypothesis is the higher self compassion of the students, the higher emotional intelligence. Subjects research involving 100 students from Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Muttaqien Pancasila Sakti both are from Klaten. Subjects with age range 13-16 years. This study uses two main scale, Self-Compassion Scale from Neff and The Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test from Schutte then added one additional scales are scales of social desirability scale. The collected data were analyzed by Product Moment from Karl Pearson, analysis using SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The result of the research indicated that self compassion continual improvement was significantly related to emotional intelligence with value r = 0.608, p 0.000 (p<0.01), therefore the research was highly consistent with the hypothesis.
