Efektivitas, Tantangan, dan Dampak Perpustakaan Digital: Sistematis Literatur Reviu 2018–2024

Abstract

This study aims to conduct an in-depth exploration through a synthesis of the effectiveness, challenges, and impact of Digital Libraries. The method used was a literature review (2018-2024). Data collection was conducted purposively from both subscribed and opensource e-resource databases searched online via URLs and DOIs. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction and structuredly grouped into three main dimensions: effectiveness, challenges, and impact of Digital Libraries. The study results indicate that the integration of electronic (digital) collections and information services that can be accessed quickly and easily, coupled with adequate librarian competency support, such as digital literacy skills, collection availability, and copyright policies, is highly effective in meeting the information needs of users. However, its operation still faces various challenges, such as improving librarian competency, information access rights, limited user access to technology, and inadequate digital collection availability. Despite this, its presence has an effective impact on access to information sources, which is very useful in supporting learning activities, increasing research productivity, and user satisfaction, while also serving as a means of preserving information in digital form.
