| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed to find out whether there is any correlation between spousal support and problem solving strategy. There are some hypothesis : (1) There is a positive correlation between spousal support and reasoning aspect. (2) There is a negative correlation between spousal support and verbal aggression aspect. (3) There is a negative correlation between spousal support and minor violence aspect. (4) There is a negative correlation between spousal support and severe violence aspect. The subject of this study are 162 people who are married and have a child. A measuring instrument in this study used The provision of spousal support scale by Durio Jay M (2008) and problem solving strategy scale adapted from CTS (conflict Tactics Scale) by Straus (1979) as a tool for data collection have been used. The data has been analyzed statistically using non parametric correlation from spearman with SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The result of correlations are: (1) There is no a positive correlation between spousal support and reasoning aspect with r = 0,047 and p = 0,276 (p>0,05). (2) There is no a negative correlation between spousal support and verbal aggression aspect with r = 0,017 and p = 0,415 (p>0,05). (3) There is a negative correlation between spousal support and minor violence aspect with r = -0,026 and p = 0,369 (p>0,05). (4) There is a negative correlation between spousal support and severe violence aspect with r = 0,047 and p = 0,278 (p>0,05). So, the hypothesis in this study is denied. | en_US |
