FAKTOR RISIKO ASMA PADA ANAK DI KECAMATAN TEMPEL KABUPATEN SLEMAN, DIY
Abstract
Background : Asthma is one of the most serious disease in the world. Adult or child might get asthma in developed or developing country. Asthma in pediatric had unknown the cause. In Indonesia, prevalence of asthma about 10% from population and 85% of them were children. Prevalence of asthma in DIY is about 6.9% in 2013. According to report from Sleman Hospital, there were 1.104 that got asthma attack and 226 of them were children.
Aim : this study aim to know the risk factor of asthma in pediatric at Tempel, Sleman DIY.
Method : This study used retrospective analytical observational research method and case control research design. Sample of this study was taken using a sample size formula for the nominal data of population of patients with asthma children who met the inclusion criteria. Data obtained from medical records of patients of asthma in children in Tempel Hospital period 2015 to 2017.
Result : There were 31 boys and 23 girls that diagnosed by asthma and 27 boys and girls that diagnosed by other non asthma lung disease. There were 24 children aged ≤ 5 years old and 30 children aged > 5 years that had asthma, and 32 children age ≤ 5 years and 22 children aged > 5 years that diagnosed by non asthma lung disease. There were 38 children that had asthma before and 32 children had other non asthma lung disease before.
Conclusion : sex, age, and previous history of disease didn’t affected the incidence of asthma in pediatric
