| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between cognitive emotion regulation strategies and job stress on woman highway cleaning officers. Job stress is a dynamic condition of the highway janitor woman when faced with opportunities, demands (demands), or resources related to what is desirable individual and the results are not considered definitive and important. Cognitive emotion regulation strategies in a cognitive way among women highwaycleaning officers to manage information that can lead to a certain emotional state resulting from experiencing a negative event. The hypothesis that proposed in this study was there is the 9 alternative hypothesis between 9 aspect in cognitive emotion regulation strategy that is self-blame, acceptance, focus on thought or rumination, positive reappraisal, refocus on planning, positive refocusing, putting into perspective, catastrophizing, and blaming others and job stress. This study involved 40 woman, aged 22-50 years. Measurement in this study used ajob stress by Robbins & Judge (2008) and cognitive emotion regulation strategies by Garnefksi & Kraaij (2007). The correlational analysis using Pearson correlation test and Spearman showed that 5 significant correlation relationship and positively correlated with job stress. It was rumination strategy with correlation coefficient 0.511 with p = 0.001, positive refocusing 0.545 with p = 0.004, putting into perspective t 0.376 with p = 0.017, catastrophizing 0.314 with p= 0.049 and last blaming others with 0.381 and p = 0.015, where it is shown that there is a connection between five strategies of cognitive emotion regulation of these each with job stress among woman highway cleaning officers. Then the hypothesis Ha-3, Ha-6, Ha-7, Ha-8, and Ha-9 accepted, while others denied. | en_US |
