This research aims to figure out how the self-management training can reduce the nomophobia among students in University “X” Yogyakarta. This research used Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. 22 students have been participated as the respondent in this research aged in the range of 18 to 22 years old and they have been divided into two groups: 11 students as the experimental group and other 11 students as the control group. The measurement in this research used the scale of nomophobia to determine whether the respondents experienced nomophobia either in the medium category or in high category that are the modification from nomophobia questionnaire (NMP-Q) from Yildirim and Correia (2015). The hypothesis test used the analysis of Friedman. The result showed that there was a difference in the level of nomophobia among students before and after given training (p = 0.000 where p < 0.05) to the students in university “X” Yogyakarta. Therefore, it can be concluded that the self- management training can reduce the nomophobia to the students.en_US
