dc.description.abstractPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan adsorben kulit salak pada limbah batik. Karakterisasi dan analisis adsorben menggunakan GSA, FTIR, UV-Vis dan COD. Proses adsorpsi dilakukan dengan variasi berat dan waktu, kemudian setelah adsorpsi filtrat dan adsorben dianalisis. Hasil analisis menggunakan FTIR menunjukkan adanya pergeseran puncak pada masing-masing gugus. Karakterisasi menggunakan GSA dilakukan sebelum adsorpsi, adsorben non SDS memiliki luas permukaan 8,060 m2/g dan adsorben modifikasi SDS 0,302 m2/g. Hasil analisis UV-Vis diperoleh kapasitas adsorben non SDS sebesar 0,075 mg/g dengan waktu kontak 60 menit, sedangkan kapasitas adsorben modifikasi SDS sebesar 0,071 mg/g dengan waktu kontak 120 menit. Penurunan angka COD hanya pada adsorben non SDS 0,2 g yaitu dari 165,925 mg O2/L menjadi 153,251 mg O2/L. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan adsorben kulit salak kurang efektif terhadap penurunan nilai COD. Aim of this research is to study the ability of surfactant modified salacca skin as adsorbent on batik wastewater. Characterization and analysis of adsorbents were perform using GSA, FTIR, UV-Vis and COD. The adsorption process is carried out by weight and time variation, then after adsorption of filtrate and adsorbent is analyzed. The analysis result using FTIR indicates a peak shift in each cluster. Characterization by GSA was performed before adsorption, non SDS adsorbents had a surface area of 8.0601 m2/g and an adsorbent modified SDS 0.302 m2/g. The result of UV-Vis analysis obtained the capacity of non SDS adsorbent 0.075 mg/g with contact time 60 minutes, while the adsorption capacity of SDS modification was 0.071 mg/g with contact time 120 minutes. Decrease in COD rate only on non SDS adsorbents 0.2 g from 165.925 mg O2/L to 153,251 mg O2/L. This indicates that the use of salak bark adsorbent is less effective against the decrease of COD value.id
