Hubungan antara Stres Kerja dengan Perilaku Merokok pada Guru

Abstract

This research is aimed to examine the correlation between job stress with smoking behavior in teacher. The hypothesis of this research which there is a positive relationship between job stress with smoking behavior in teacher. The subject of this research were 60 teachers who live in the Sub Majenang, Cilacap District, whose certain characteristic are very close to the research (Purposive sampling). The characteristic of the subject is a smoking male teacher. This research used quantitave methode. The data collection of this research was done using two scale consist of the scale of smoking behavior, and the scale of job stress. The analysis method to examine used a product moment correlation technique of Spearman's rho, with SPSS version 17.0 for windows. From the Spearman's rho correlation test result r = 0.052, p = 0.347 (p > 0.05). The result indicated that there is no significant correlation between job stress with smoking behavior. So the hypothesis of this research is not accepted.
