dc.description.abstractThis study is aiming to know the positive correlation between self-concept and optimism toward drug abusers. The hypothesis is there is a positive correlation between self-concept and optimism toward drug abuser. The subject involved were 103 drug abusers undergoing the rehab, 94 were male and 9 were female with the age of 15 to 30. The scales used were the self-concept scale that belong to Fitss's (Burns, 1993) aspects/theories and Mc Ginnis's (1995) optimism scale. This study needed SPSS data analysis to prove the positive correlation between self-concept and optimism toward drug abusers. The result performed that there is a significant positive correlation between self-concept and optimism toward drug abuses with r value = 0,689, p = 0,000 (p<0,01).en_US
