dc.description.abstractNajis dalam agama islam dibagi menjadi 3 yaitu najis mukhaffafah (najis ringan), mutawassitah (najis sedang) dan mugalladzah (najis berat). Najis mugalladzah berasal dari babi dan air liur anjing. clay telah diteliti mempunyai kemampuan adsorpsi pada beberapa bakteri. Di dalam air liur anjing mengandung berbagai bakteri patogen yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui daya adsorpsi clay bentonit, kaolin, talkum terhadap bakteri Gram positif dan Gram negatif dari air liur anjing. Perbandingan kemampuan adsorpsi clay pada bakteri Gram positif dan Gram negatif dianalisis menggunakan profil time adsorption curve secara deskriptif. Isolasi bakteri dari air liur anjing menghasilkan bakteri Gram positif yaitu Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Micrococcus sp, dan bakteri Gram negatif yaitu Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumonia. Pada bakteri Gram positif Staphylococcus haemolyticus, di menit ke-10, clay talkum menunjukkan adsorpsi yang paling rendah yakni sebesar 77,18%, sedangkan clay bentonit dan kaolin sebesar 88,95% dan 87,58%. Pada bakteri Klebsiella pneumonia, di menit ke-10, clay bentonit mempunyai kemampuan adsorpsi paling rendah yakni 56,79%, sedangkan clay kaolin 73,87% dan clay talkum 84,66%. Berdasarkan profil time adsorpsition curve, menunjukkan bahwa adsorpsi clay bentonit, kaolin dan talkum pada bakteri Gram positif Staphylococcus haemolyticus tidak dipengaruhi oleh waktu, sedangkan pada bakteri Gram negatif Klebsiella pneumonia, dipengaruhi oleh waktu dengan kurva hubungan adsorpsi dengan waktu yang berbeda-beda. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa clay bentonite, kaolin, talcum dapat dikembangkan menjadi material pembersih terutama pembersih najis mughallzah. Excrement in Islam divided into 3 (three) which are mukhaffafah excrement (light excrement), mutawassitah excrement (medium excrement), mugalladzah excrement (heavy excrement). Mugalladzah excrement comes from pig and dog’s saliva. Clay was studied having ability of adsorption on some bacteria. Dog’s saliva contains pathogen bacteria that can cause infection. The purpose of this study was to know ability of adsorption of bentonite clay, kaolin clay, and talcum clay toward Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria from dog’s saliva. Comparison of ability of clay’s adsorption on Gram positive and Gram negative bacteria was analyzed using time adsorption curve profile descriptively. Bacteria isolation from dog’s saliva resulted Gram positive bacteria named Staphylococcus haemolyticus, Micrococcus sp, and Gram negative bacteria named Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumonia. On Gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus haemolyticus, on the 10th minute, talcum clay showed the lowest ability of adsorption for 77,18%, meanwhile bentonite clay and kaolin clay for 88,95% and 87,58%. On Klebsiella pneumonia bacteria, on the 10th minute, bentonite clay had the lowest adsorption ability which was 56,79%, meanwhile kaolin clay was for 73,87% and talcum clay was for 84,66%. Time adsorption curve profile showed that adsorption of bentonite, kaolin and talcum clay on gram positive Staphylococcus haemolyticus did not influence by time, meanwhile, on Gram negative Klebsiella pneumonia, it was influenced by time with correlation curve of adsorption with different times. According to that result, then it can be concluded that bentonite, kaolin, and talcum clay can be developed to cleanser material especially for mugalladzah excrement.en_US
