Data collection is done by interviewing the expert and looking at the actual data of the company. The method used is business process reengineering (BPR) using value stream mapping (VSM) as tools and key performance indicator (KPI) as a benchmark. The results of this research show that there are 10 activities that do not have added value in the process of sugar cane until thick with a total cost of Rp. 269,574,280 or equal to 34% of the overall production cost so that the need for the pruning of the process has no added value. The author trimmed the process that does not have added value as well as change the processing system into a portable system, meaning that processing can be done anywhere including in the planting land, thus resulting in production cost savings of 40% or equal to Rp. 317.477.214.en_US
