dc.description.abstractThe goal of this research is to describe the efficiency of teachers' work group (KKG) program in improving the professionalism of Islamic Education teachers (conducted in the form of a case study of KKG PAI in Pundong District). Teachers play a very important role in planning, conducting, and developing curriculum for their classes. Therefore, teachers, who are in the front line of developing the curriculum, also conduct evaluation and improvement in the curriculum. Realizing such case, it is very crucial to improve teachers' professionalism, activities, and creativity. This research employed case study approach so that this could be categorized into descriptive research. The methods used to collect valid and reliable data were: method of subject determination; the methods used for data collection included observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis employed qualitative method. The findings related to KKG program as a way of improving the professionalism of Islamic Education teachers in Pundong District are: making the teachers more confident, increasing teachers' knowledge and experience, providing new insight and information, so that it improves the teachers' competence and professionalism. Those are shown by the result of observation and interview conducted in this research.en_US
