Pengaruh Pola Asuh Orang Tua terhadap Prestasi Belajar Siswa di MI YAPPI Ringintumpang
Abstract
This research is aimed at: 1) knowing any possible efforts to find out about the effects of parenting styles on learning achievement in Islamic Elementary School (MI) YAPPI RNGINTUMPANG, 2) knowing the achievement of this research which later can be useful for improving the learning achievement of students in MI YAPPI RINGINTUMPANG. This research finding is expected to give more information to parents related to the development of their children, especially in the case of the learning achievement. This was a quantitative research whose data were in the form of simple number. The primary data source was questionnaires and the secondary data source was documents etc. The data collection was conducted by doing interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted by analyzing all the data, reducing the data, and categorizing the data. After that, checking the validity of the data and drawing conclusions were also done. In addition, the part of qualitative research was conducted by the data analysis method of descriptive-analysis. This way, this research focused on explaining, interpreting, clarifying, and revealing phenomena after conducting observation and getting real experience from respondents. The research finding shows that: 1) Some difficulties faced by students in reading are: most of the students are not able to read yet; some still read by spelling per word; the understanding of the reading is still low; some students are not fluent in reading; the intonation used when reading is not appropriate; the understanding of punctuation when reading is still low. 2) The efforts done by teachers in dealing with reading problem are: creating learning atmosphere which is effective and conducive, i.e. by creating a good relationship between teachers and students; creating fun learning atmosphere; making no differentiation among students; creating spirit of healthy competition; facilitating additional classes for students who have not been able to achieve the learning indicator at that day; giving rewards in the forms of score to students' works; encouraging students verbally and non-verbally.
