    Abstract
The Kampoeng Sumurup Rawa Pening Ecotourism requires innovation in infrastructure planning, environmental management, and the utilization of natural resources. The design focuses on organizing the area into various activity zones that represent elements of the Baru Klinting legend, as well as creating floating restaurants that do not pollute the lake. This design applies a narrative architectural approach based on the Baru Klinting legend and a waste management system using water vortex technology. This method was chosen to create an integrated solution that highlights local historical values while addressing the functional needs of the area. The ecotourism masterplan reflects the Baru Klinting legend through architectural symbolism in each building. The welcoming area with its strong and sheltering roof represents Raja Sakti and Endang Sawitri, while the mosque rising at the center of the lake symbolizes Mount Telomoyo as a place of prayer and devotion. The vendors’ area, designed with harvest festival nuances, red–yellow tones, and dragon-scale forms, represents the people’s rejection as well as the humility of Baru Klinting. The viewing tower embodies the protective figure of the old woman, the amphitheater serves as a gathering place with structures inspired by sticks planted by Baru Klinting, the floating restaurant symbolizes the sunken village while integrating a vortex-based waste collection system, and the souvenir shop acts as a space of memory. Altogether, these elements present a tourism experience rich in cultural meaning and ecological innovation.
