Analisis Tingkat Pemberian Tindakan Trombolisis pada Pasien Stroke Iskemik di RSUD Sleman
Abstract
Background: Ischemic stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide.
Although thrombolysis is effective in improving neurological function, its
administration rate remains low in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. RSUD
Sleman, as a referral hospital for stroke in Yogyakarta, has adequate facilities, but
the percentage of thrombolysis administration remains unclear. Therefore, this
study is important to determine the extent to which thrombolytic therapy has been
implemented.
Objective: To determine the rate of thrombolytic administration in ischemic stroke
patients at RSUD Sleman and analyze the influencing factors.
Methods: This research employed a cross-sectional design with retrospective data
collected from medical records of ischemic stroke patients treated at RSUD Sleman
in 2024. The data included demographic characteristics, clinical progression, and
medication use. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted using logistic
regression.
Results: Only 6.55% of 458 ischemic stroke patients received thrombolytic
therapy. Most patients arrived beyond the golden period (4.5 hours). Bivariate
analysis showed a significant association between arrival time and stroke history
with thrombolytic administration. However, multivariate analysis found no factors
significantly associated.
Conclusion: The low rate of thrombolysis administration at RSUD Sleman is likely
associated with delayed patient arrival due to a lack of awareness of stroke
symptoms, highlighting the need for further assessment of both public knowledge
and healthcare provider-related aspects.
