dc.description.abstractSodium hydroxide and sodium chloride plant produced by reacting brine and calcium hydroxide is planned to be in industrial factory in the region of Cikampek, West Java. Plant will be established by considering the availability of raw materials which near from plant location, transportation facilities, readily available labor and environmental conditions. Production capacity is planned 10,000 tons/year, with operating time of 24 hours/day and 330 working days in a year. The raw materials used brine 47.770,2665 kg per hour consist of NaCl 14%, Na2CO3 3,12%, NaHCO3 0,25%, H2O 81% taken from PT. IHI Coorporation and Calcium Hydroxide as 16.717,4043 kg per hour taken from PT. Sukses Agra Kampar North Jakarta. The production process will be operated at temperature 90oC at pressure 1 atm using Countinues Stirred Tank Reactor (CSTR ). Labor needed as many as 282 people with a business entity form Limited Liability Company (PT) which is headed by a Director who is assisted by the Director of Production and Director of Finance with line and staff organizational structure. From the economic analysis is obtained Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) = Rp447.298.907.914, Working Capital Investment (WCI) = Rp229.919.634.231, Total Capital Investment (TCI) = Rp677.218.542.145, Return on Investment before taxes (ROI) before tax = 27,7%, Return on Investment after taxes (ROI) after tax = 22,2%, Pay Out Time before taxes (POT)before tax = 2,6506, Pay Out Time after taxes (POT) after tax = 3,1073, Break Even Point (BEP) = 45,97%, Shut Down Point (SDP) = 18,69%. Consider the summary above, it is proper establishment of Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Chloride plant to studied further, because the plant is profitable and has good prospects.en_US
