Burnout Sebagai Mediator Antara Kebersyukuran Pada Kesejahteraan Psikologis Guru di Sekolah Inklusi dan di Sekolah Luar Biasa
Abstract
The treatment for students with special needs (PDBK) in school is carried out by
teachers that have special competencies compared to teachers in general. They
play a role both as assistant teachers and teaching staff by means of a learning
method specifically designed based upon the needs of PDBK. Considering the hard
duties of the teachers of PDBK, psychological well-being is then needed by the
teachers of PDBK in providing assistance to students with special needs, and
parents – sometimes as a mediator for subject teachers. The subject of this
research is 202 teachers who handle PDBK as the special assistant teachers in
inclusive schools and teachers in Special School. Data were collected using three
instruments: psychological well-being (PWB) scale, Maslach Burnout Inventory
(MBI-GS) and Gratitude Scale (ShS). Then, they were analyzed using mediation
analysis technique through the Jamovi application. Burnout was found to be
capable of being a mediator between gratitude and PWB (β = 0.042, p=˂ 0.01), and
it contributed a total effect of 27.6% with partial mediation result. The correlation
between gratitude and PWB was β = 0.061, p = ˂ 0.001, while burnout towards
PWB was β = 0.084, p=˂0.001. The results of this study described the psychological
well-being of teachers who handle PDBK.
