    Abstract
This study analyzes the suitability of land use in the Tukad Pakerisan riverbank area in Gianyar Regency, focusing on sustainable disaster mitigation. The study utilizes remote sensing techniques in conjunction with geographic information system integration to assess land use suitability, providing critical data for local government in formulating spatial planning policies and water resource management. The methodology employed the acquisition of primary data through drone surveys and secondary data from relevant regulations and maps. The findings indicate that a significant portion of the riverbank area is highly suitable for sustainable use, particularly in areas designated for green open spaces which can enhance water absorption and reduce flood risks. However, some areas show low suitability, necessitating targeted interventions to prevent environmental degradation and enhance community resilience against natural disasters. The results highlight the importance of effective land management strategies that align with ecological preservation and urban development needs. This research serves as a foundational reference for future spatial planning initiatives aimed at creating adaptive riverbank zones that support both environmental sustainability and community welfare.
