dc.description.abstractEfforts to reduce cement use in concrete mixtures through sustainable development and energy efficiency approaches allow the utilization of waste such as rice husk ash and lime powder as cement substitutes in concrete mixtures. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using rice husk ash and lime powder as partial cement substitutes on compressive strength by applying two treatment methods, namely immersion and coating using burlap sacks. In this study, lime powder was used as a substitute material with variations of 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of the cement weight, while rice husk ash was used at 10%. Testing was carried out when the concrete was 28 days old. Mix design calculations were carried out referring to SNI 2834-2000 with a design quality of 25 MPa. The number of test specimens made in this study was 40 samples. The results showed that the burlap sack covering method produced higher compressive strength at variations of 0%, 5%, and 10% when compared to the immersion method. The highest compressive strength in the immersion method occurred in the 0% variation with a value of 25.11 MPa and in the 0% variation of the burlap sack method of 29.56 MPa. The variation that provided the highest compressive strength value in the substituted concrete was a mixture of 10% rice husk ash and 10% lime powder with the burlap sack covering method, which was 25.67 MPa. This value shows an increase of 2.2% compared to normal concrete with the immersion method.en_US
