Pengaruh Pelatihan Manajemen Stres terhadap Kesejahteraan Psikologis pada Penderita Asma
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of stress management training on improvement of psychological well-being in asthmatics. Respondents in this study are college students with asthma aged 19-24 in Yogyakarta, male and female, and has a level of stress and psychological well-being in the medium category. The hypothesis in this study which namely stresses management training improves psychological well-being in people with asthma. The measures that are used in this study is Psychological Well-being Scale developed by Jarden (2011). The first analysis used wilcoxon sign rank-test by looking at the gain score before and after training between groups experiment and control. The second analysis uses the friedman test technique where given to the experimental group between before training, after training and follow-up. The result of data analysis showing that there was no significant difference in psychological well-being scores between the experimental and control group after stress management training in the experimental group with a value of p = 0,468 (p>0,05). The results of data analysis also shows that there was no significant difference in psychological well-being scores between before traning, after training and follow-up with p = 0,420 (p>0,05). Qualitative analisys showing that there was positive transformation in the experimental group such as enhancement of psychological function and physical health.
