| dc.description.abstract | Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate is a surfactant / surfactant (Surface Active Agent) material. Surfactants are used as raw materials in the manufacture of detergents, cleaning fluids, soaps, cosmetics and for industrial process use. LABS is the most widely used surfactant for detergent today. The purpose of this plant is to reduce LABS imports. Pre-designed linear alkylbenzene sulfonate plant with a capacity of 21,000 ton / year is planned to be built in Cikande, Serang Banten, with an area of 29,000 m2. The chemical plant will be operated for 330 days or 24 hours a day with 138 employees. The raw materials needed are Alkylbenzene 15,147,783.3 tons / year and Oleum 20% 18,934,731.3 tons / year. The production process will be operated at 55 ° C, 1 atm pressure using a Stirred Tank Flow Reactor (RATB). The required utilities are cold water 91557,2998 kg / hour, fuel 1127.79 kg / hour, steam 2153.5618 ltr / hour, while electric power around 122,027 KWatt is provided by PLN, this chemical plant also requires 1 set of generator as backup electricity. Economic analysis shows that this chemical plant needs fixed capital of about $ 72,041,632,137 and working capital of Rp 123,405,620,173. Profit before tax is Rp 122,199,807,077 while profit after tax is Rp 85,539,864,954. The return on investment (ROI) before tax is 12.56%, while after tax is 8.8%, pay out (POT) before tax is 4.8 years, while after tax is 6 years. The value of break event point (BEP) is about 53.62%, while the shut down point (SDP) is about 11.13%. The value of discounted cash flow rate (DCFR) is around 31.03%.
