    Abstract
Bali is a sensation rather than just a location. A pulse. There is a spiritual a state of equilibrium that infuses the air, the ringing of temple bells, and the connecting point of the land and the sea. This island became as a haven for people seeking self-healing and regeneration throughout time. Keeping that concept in mind, Tirta Nirvana Retreat was designed as a place where wellness, culture, and architecture all thrive together rather than as simply another resort. This project has a contemporary minimalist style which emphasizes material reliability, tranquility, and simplicity. However, it remains close to Bali's identity. The design respects towards the wisdom of Tri Hita Karana, the Balinese philosophy that promotes harmony between humans, nature, and the divinity, while also honoring traditional orientation Kaja-Kelod, the sacred alignment between mountain and sea. These ideas slightly direct the retreat's design: communal life flows smoothly through the center, functional spaces relax toward the sea, and the most respected places face the mountain. Deeper issues are also addressed by the design. Like many other stunning locations, Bali is under stress from the environment and the potential for cultural deterioration. Tirta Nirvana addresses care of this by utilizing wood and black andesite stone, creating spaces that breathe organically without the burden of artificial systems, and utilizing green roofs that mimic terraced rice fields. Every decision, no matter how little, is taken to keep the project rooted in time and location. At some point Tirta Nirvana Retreat is more than just a spa. There is room for peaceful to speak there. where traditions are respected rather than imitated. And a place where visitors can experience a sense of connection to the natural environment, to themselves, and to something bigger. It's a place to go back, think, and start over a retreat in the purest meaning of the word.
