    Abstract
Research about the decrease of ammonia concentrations in wastewater of JIH hospital by electrolysis using lead (Pb) and lead dioxide (PbO2) electrodes has been carried out. This research aimed to reduce ammonia concentrations in wastewater of JIH hospital. The decrease of ammonia concentration has been done by electrolysis used lead (Pb) as cathode and lead dioxide (PbO2) as anode with various of potential, time electrolysis, and electrolytes were observed use in order to determine the optimal conditions of ammonia concentration reduction. Composition of Pb and PbO2 electrodes were analyzed by Scanning Electron Microscopy-Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (SEM-EDS) and the electrolysis result were analyzed by UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The result showed that the compotition of lead (Pb) consisted lead (Pb) 76,52%, oxigen (O) 16,44%, and sulfur (S) 7,04%. The compotition of lead dioxide (PbO2) electrode consisted lead (Pb) 75,64%, oxigen (O) 16,94%, and sulfur (S) 7,42%. After electrolysis, got the the best potential, time electrolysis, and electrolytes of the ammonia decrease were 15 V, 90 minutes, and 0,1 N NaCl, respectively. The decrease precentage of ammonia concentrations in wastewater JIH hospital which was electrolyzed at the best condition was amounted to 68,38%.
