The most important stage for managing an irrigation system is irrigation water requirements. The research aims to obtain the amount of irrigation water required for the Kedunggupit Kulon Irrigation Area (DI) and to evaluate the balance between demand discharge and water availability discharge. The data used for water availability is Kedunggupit Kulon Dam intake data and Wadaslintang Reservoir supply discharge for 4 years, namely from 2019-2022, then calculating water needs requires data on percolation, water needs for plant consumption, water layer replacement and effective rainfall. The results of this research were obtained in 3 periods, namely from 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2022-2023. It seems that irrigation water needs have not reached a good balance. Water availability in August, September and October or in the third growing season (palawija). The dam and supplement intake were observed to be completely unable to supply water because the intake at the Kedung Gupit Kulon weir and the supplement intake from the Wadaslintang Reservoir were closed for maintenance of the irrigation network. Because MT III, namely secondary crops, does not require too much water, another alternative is for farmers to use ground wells at several points in the rice fields or fields, apart from that, farmers also utilize the remaining drainage using water pumps to distribute it to the rice fields.en_US
