    Abstract
Geographically, Indonesia is located on a series of rings of fire that stretches along the Pacific plate, which is strong earthquake shocks often occur and cause disasters. One of the damaging earthquake disasters occurred in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on May 27, 2006 that was dominated by damage to simple buildings. After post-disaster Rehab-Recon activities, measuring the level of vulnerability of buildings in the area needs to be carried out, as part of anticipating future strong earthquake shocks. This research aims to measure the vulnerability level of buildings in three hamlets in the region which have the title of Disaster Resilient Village (DESTANA) which have different levels of earthquake hazards. The hamlets are Plumbon, Candirejo, and Turi having earthquake hazard levels of high, moderate, and low, respectively. The method used in the research is measuring the vulnerability of building objects using the ACeBS (Quick Simple Building Assessment) application via Android cellphone platform. The result of research in Plumbon Hamlet show that the proportion of buildings that have a low and medium level of vulnerability is 80% and 20%, correspondingly. For Candirejo Hamlet, the proportion of buildings that have a low and medium level of vulnerability is 95% and 5%, associately, while for Turi Hamlet, the 90% of buildings that have a low and medium level of vulnerability are 90% and 10%, respectively. Efforts that must be made to reduce disaster risk effectively in the future are to reduce the level of vulnerability by strengthening buildings if necessary
