| dc.description.abstract | The development of road infrastructure is also followed by the need for
road pavement that makes more streght, and efficient in overcoming
future challenges. Therefore, efforts or initiatives are needed to overcome
damage in road pavement by modifying asphalt. One of the alternative is
to modify Pen 60/70 asphalt with rubber additives and the use of PG-70
asphalt.Determination of the level of rubber additives in asphalt with
variations in rubber content of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%. For variations in the
asphalt content of Superpave mixtures using variations of 5%, 5.5%, 6%,
6.5%, and 7%, while for HRS - WC mixtures using variations of 6%.
6.5%, 7%, 7.5%, and 8%. After obtaining the KAO in each type of
mixture, the Marshall Properties test is continued with the Marshall Test
and Immersion Test. The estimated optimum tire rubber addition is 4%
for all types of asphalt. The HRS - WC + PG70 + 4% rubber tire powder
mixture has an average Stability value of 978.541 kg in the Marshall test
and 918.265 kg in the IRS test. The average Flow value was 3.046 in the
Marshall test and 3.147 in the IRS test. The HRS - WC + PEN 60/70 +
4% rubber tire powder mixture had an average Stability value of 944.507
kg in the Marshall test and 886.317 kg in the IRS test. The average Flow
value was 3.177 in the Marshall test and 3.277 in the IRS test. The
SUPERPAVE + PG70 + rubber tire powder mixture has an average
Stability value of 1034.631 kg in the Marshall test and 1000.63 kg in the
IRS test. The average Flow value was 2.907 in the Marshall test and 3.033
in the IRS test. The SUPERPAVE + PEN 60/70 + rubber tire powder
mixture has an average Stability value of 1008.490 kg in the Marshall test
and 982.482 kg in the IRS test. The average Flow value was 3.013 in the
Marshall test and 3.120 in the IRS test. | en_US |
