    Abstract
The construction industry is an industry with a high risk of work accidents. SMK3 or the occupational safety and health management system is required to control risks in construction projects. Several efforts can be made to reduce the number of work accidents, one of which is through the Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Determining Control (HIRADC) method. This study aims to identify potential hazards and assess the risk level before and after controlling the hazards involved in the construction of the IC Kartasura Bridge. Hazard identification was carried out based on the results of observations and interviews with two informants. Based on the results obtained, it was found that there were 41 types of hazards with risk levels ranging from extreme, high, moderate, and low. Based on the assessment of the first informant, it was observed that the risk in the extreme category was originally 46,34% to 7,32%, in the high risk from 34,15% to 26,83%, in the moderate risk from 17,07% to 26,83% and the risk in the low category from 2,44% to 39,02%. Meanwhile, from the second respondent, the risk in the extreme risk category was from 12,20% to 2,44%, at high risk from 58,54% to 7,32%, at moderate risk from 21,95% to 12,20%, and at jobs with low risk from 7,32% rose to 78,05%. The risk control carried out has been conducted in accordance with the K3 hierarchy, i.e., elimination, substitution, engineering, administration, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
