In encouraging national development, especially from the tourism sector, Yogyakarta is a tourist destination in Indonesia. The construction services sector is needed to meet the development needs in the tourism sector. Hotel Malioboro Suite is a temporary residence for tourists located on jalan pasar kembang no.29 Yogyakarta with a land area of ± 1500 m2 and the remaining land of ±150 m2 with a width of ± 5 meters and a length of ± 30 meters making the use of stemtransfer materials such as material hoists and manual material handling (MMH) chosen in its implementation. The purpose of this study is to determine the cost of implementing a vertical material transfer system using a material hoist and manual material handling in ceramic installation work. This study looked at the vertical transfer of materials in the ceramic works of each floor. Measurement of cycle productivity between material hoists and manual material handling using a stopwatch. Observed cycle times include 1) load time, 2) hauling time, 3) unloading time, 4) return time, and 5) Lead time. The results showed that the cycle time of the hoist material was lower than mmh. The results of other studies also show that the time and cost in fulfilling 1 m2 of ceramic workmaterials including ceramics, cement, and sand is 60x60 lower than manual material handling. Manual material handling will be quite effective and efficiently used to transfer materials if the project takes a short time and the low altitude is less than 8 m.
