    Abstract
Earthquakes will damage buildings that are not strong enough to withstand the forces they generate or are susceptible to earthquakes. The damage that occurs in buildings differs depending on the building vulnerability. One method to determine the level of building vulnerability is to use the ACeBS application installed on a smartphone. This study focuses on rapid visual screening of building vulnerability by assessing two to four-story buildings. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of vulnerability o Buildings IX and XII in the Yogyakarta City Hall Complex by using the ACeBS. The application uses FEMA 154 by adapt the conditions in Indonesia. The research methodology used was field observation and reviewing existing building documents. Observation results in the form of data and information will enter into the ACeBS for assessment. Interpretation of results of field observations into data input into the application needs to be careful because it determines the result. Based on the input data, ACeBS will calculate basic scores and modifier scores to determine the final score. A final score that is more or equal to 2 indicates that the building is safe from earthquakes and vice versa is a building susceptible to earthquakes and needs to be evaluated further in detail. The assessment results show that Building IX and Building XII have a final score of 1.2, which means that the level of vulnerability is very high and requires further detailed structural evaluation.
