    Abstract
In general, concrete contain of three main components, which is water, cement, and aggregate both fine aggregate and coarse aggregate. In this research writer add tires waste as partial substitution of coarse aggregate that used for making concrete, according to the research that has been done concluded that adding tire waste will reduce concrete compression strength and concrete tensile strength up to 59,83%, therefore writer adding concrete hardener admixture which is Damdex. Tires waste percentage that used as partial substitution of coarse aggregate is 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15% of coarse aggregate weight that used. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of adding tires waste as partial substitution of coarse aggregate with Damdex addition on the concrete compression strength and concrete tensile strength and to find out the optimal rate of tires waste as partial substitution of coarse aggregate and to find out the optimal rate of Damdex that used in this research. The test object that used are cylindrical with 15cm diameter and 30cm height as many as 80 samples and 16 variation. After 28 days of curing, 16 variant that contains 5 test specimen every variation, 3 samples were tested on the concrete compression strength and 2 samples were tested on concrete tensile strength. Mix design on this concrete making according to SNI 03-2834-2000. The result of this research showed that the optimum concrete compression strength was found on concrete mix with 5% tires waste and 7,5%Damdex with 27,87 MPa, the optimum concrete tensile strength was found on concrete mix with 15% tires waste and 7,5% Damdex with 2,157 MPa.
