    Abstract
The object of public safety in the context of Construction Safety of Management System No. 10 of 2021. Covers the community around the project and exposed communities, in addition to environmental safety which covers the work environment, project-af ected environment, natural environment and built environment. To find out how much impact a development can have on public safety and environmental safety, this research conducted a construction safety evaluation based on hazard zoning using GIS (Geographic Information System) which focuses on steel frame bridge erection work in Madukara District, Banjarnegara Regency. This bridge has dimensions of 60 m span, 7.6 m width type B and the main heavy equipment used to build this bridge is a mobile crane. Based on the results of layout mapping using GIS, no construction safety implementation was detected, one of which was workers working without wearing PPE. Safe zone with radius 0-7.5 m, area 1004,691 m2, percentage 16.17%; danger prone zone with radius 7.5-10.6 m, area 1576.102 m2, percentage 23.37%; danger zone ≥ 10.6 m, area 3631.397 m2, percentage 58.46%. In the potential danger-prone radius, the possibilities that will arise are broken hook connections, broken slings and tipping of the crane. Meanwhile, potential dangers include breaking the sling and throwing the load out of reach.
